Role Summary

Aubay is seeking a Product Manager to join our Supermajor Energy Client with around 84,000 employees across 70+ countries who are working to power progress through cleaner energy solutions.

 

Dimensions & Accountabilities:

  • Develop, build, maintain and integrate with the Delivery Framework a product delivery methodology, which accounts for over $100M of investment annually. Lead the adoption of these practices across the product teams in an appropriate way.
  • Develop, build, maintain and integrate with the Assurance Framework a product delivery assurance methodology and execute the methodology across all of our client’s products, ranging from $2.5 to $25M of annual investment.
  • Develop and agree a programme of training and certification for up to 1,500 product professionals that teaches product best practices and how they can be applied within the controls and compliance frameworks in operation at our client’s company
  • Support product thinking in our opportunity framing, portfolio planning and funding processes, so that we choose the right products and build them in the right way.
  • Provide product consulting to product teams that are performing sub-optimally and improve execution or, if required, recommend an end to development. This must be done with grace and sensitivity and will usually require stakeholder management up to and including VP level.
  • Build a community of product professionals across the business and IT that are committed to safe, compliant and effective product development. These teams are global in nature and number over 1,000 people.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Typical Experience: 8+ years in technology with 5+ years of experience in establishing and delivering progressively larger and more complex products;
  • Typical product complexity: Highly interlinked products with technology interfaces to core systems, thousands (B2B) or millions (B2C) of users, within heavily-regulated industries;
  • Typical Product Team Size: Up to 50 people, with teams in multiple countries;
  • Typical Product Budget: up to $15M annually, for technology spend;
  • Degree educated with evidence of a commitment to lifelong learning; and
  • Product & agile certification.
