Role Summary

Aubay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Supermajor Energy client’s Programme and Project Management capability department.

 

The recent growth of our Supermajor Energy company client’s business has meant that they have now exceeded the tipping point in which underlying best practice design & governance is required in order to support future growth without exposing themselves to increased financial risk. As such – the outcome of this programme of work is to ensure they are getting the basics right to enable rather than constrain their growth; with the required guardrails, control points, & governance in place on which then to build.

 

To do this and under the 4 associated themes of simple design, trusted information, managed service, and documented processes, our client needs an additional highly skilled resource who has the experience in similar remediation work with other clients. In this role, you will bring your outside perspective that is free from the bias or scars from day-to-day activity will mean faster results more aligned to best practice.

 

The expectation is that this role will fall into one of 4 teams:

  • Book structure, governance, and controls
  • Reporting
  • Best practice integrity from left to right
  • Integration & clean-up

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Excellent Stakeholder Management as it involves discussions with EC Leadership team and supporting staff
  • Communications and Collaborations
  • Project Governance
  • Deployment on DocuSign
  • Deep understanding of Aligne deliverables;
  • Business Analysis skills (Related to Power specifically);

  • Domain knowledge and skills, such as Chemicals, Deepwater, Retail, Finance, Legal, HR, and Capital Project lines of business and functions;
  • Technology skills, such as cloud, mobile, software-as-a-service, and digital platforms;
  • Stakeholder management and presentational skills;
  • Entrepreneurial skills, such as a business-value mindset, critical thinking, storytelling, stakeholder management, and enabling value creation.
  • Project management both traditional waterfall and agile methods in delivery of medium size programs;
  • Manage a team of external and cross organisational resources;
  • Plan activities, lead the team and organise scrums;
  • Scrum methodology including user stories, themes, backlogs, tasks and release management;
  • Leadership skills: As a project management professional, you are also a leader in the natural team and are required to continuously develop your leadership behaviors
