Role Summary

Aubay is seeking a mid-level QA developer to ramp up QA within an established development team. You’ll have a lot of decision making power, autonomy and trust. We make decisions democratically and give team members the time, resource and authority to work on what they think is most important. The right candidate will be passionate about QA and improving application stability, working with both developers and the users to build and maintain existing tests. You can demonstrate the ability to quickly absorb and make use of new information. You are able to research best practices and make use of them.

 

Tech Stack You Will Be Working with JS, NodeJS backend + React frontend (using Typescript)

  • Current testing tool is Playwright (familiarity with this would be a plus, but not mandatory)

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • QA Engineering Experience (software testing experience)
  • At least 5 years experience writing automated tests for web and/or non-web based applications
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes, with experience in JavaScript
  • Demonstrated experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Strong experience with automation testing tools like: Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer or Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience of working in enterprise environment

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience of trading applications
  • Experience with high volume, high availability enterprise systems
  • Experience building and/or testing REST and/or web socket based APIs
  • Experience of behaviour-driven development practices
  • Knowledge of BDD tools (e.g. Cucumber)
